Today, Egypt celebrates Police Day – a day that only traitors and other rational thinkers consider ironic in being an "enforced" holiday for both private and public sectors.
Unlike Mother’s Day, which gives thanks to little more than a few ounces of milk and some “rearing”, Police Day shows gratitude to a group of men capable of going to extremes to serve Egypt’s citizens. Indeed, not only are the police always willing to give us street directions and reduce our speeding fines gain-free, they also strive to support us where others fail.
Consider the example pictured below:

Here, Tamer Kasool (dark red shirt) is being playfully encouraged by a group of caring neighborhood policemen to run as fast as possible in preparation for a marathon he had the next day. Kasool later said, “No one, not my athletics coach, not my father or my brothers, ever helped me prepare for a race or supported me in this way.”
Or look at Samir Menawar in the picture below (lying down).

Samir was an unfortunate victim of spontaneous human combustion, whereupon his body suddenly caught fire for no reason in the middle of a peaceful demonstration. Here you can clearly see the zeal and care with which the police tried to stamp the fire out.
Alternatively, look at the video below. In it you can see a dedicated policeman helping a regular citizen prepare for a cheek muscles competition he had the following week. Note how there is also a dedicated policeman just for warm ups.
The man later received first prize for cheek muscles. “I was just glad to be of service,” says the officer, “and even though my hand really hurt when I was helping him, I still did it because it is my duty.”
The list goes on, and for that, EKT would like to thank the police for their concerted efforts to keep the peace while simultaneously empowering the populace. It also notes that none of its writers have any racing or athletic competitions of any kind coming up.
EKT would also like to thank the people who captured these special moments documented here. They truly opened our eyes.

hiv symptoms victim of spontaneous human combustion and the police man helping him. Very funny! But I also liked the idea of a police day like any other day to show our respect for them. Anyway I think that this article only concentrate on the negative side. You should also try to think the other way.

Mon, 07/18/2011 - 11:36I hate to see officers of the law treating people with such disrespect. I can't even count how many times I've seen a police officer getting arrested for driving while intoxicated, when still on duty. This is what happens when police officers are allowed to do whatever they want without question for so long. There Sargent should take a lot of responsibility with this type of behavior as well. After all he is the one that is suppose to keep them in line. This is the golden rule for any business
Thanks

Fri, 09/16/2011 - 06:48Rule of law needs to be reestablished in Egypt. The Egyptian government is abusing people, but so are its citizens. The allegations of gang rape by numerous Egyptian men was very troubling. No one deserves to be abused or discriminated against, especially based on gender. tampa car accident lawyer
